XAVIER RUDD - JAMMING

The next stage after learning to pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time! LOL

Woke up feeling pretty darn good today. (Yes, I got some sleep!) Sun is shining, the only sounds were crickets and then some birds singing. Nothing further than that as I took Timber outside into the backyard for a while just to stand under the trees and gaze at the sun cascading down through the Autumn turning leaves.

Feels like it is going to be a good one!

Happy life jamming, people and I'll catch you later.

Melissa

10:30am. UPDATE

Yee-ha! I just knew this was going to be a good one! Just did my usual, sighing without much hope surf over to MarsCigars, and by golly they finally have my Acid C-note cigars in!

Yippee! Whipped out the plastic and they are on the way!  Regret I can only get one box, possibly the last one I will ever be able to manage because of these F'in' idiot Nanny-anties     who don't know their butts from their noses and are being led around by the Pharmaceutical companies  whom want to tax tobacco out of existence so they can swoop in with all their ‘miracle’ mucho-grando $$$ pills based on nicotine, still, I have one box coming in and it is all mine!

Indeed, I am psyched!

Picked up a 10oz tin of HoW’s Chocolate Cream pipe tobacco as well. Again, never know when it will be the last chance I ever get to.

Ah well, Happy Smokin’! ~M~

10:45pm FINAL UPDATE OF A GOOD DAY

Well, still feeling rather grand here, folks. Too tired for a long story, however, we been having some internet connection problems. Seems the wireless router we were given was a "piece of crap" to quote the repair guy sent over and he installed a new one for us. Reset my laptop and went on his merry way. Great guy, laughing, down to earth and in general, good people.

Problem was our main pc, the desktop was forgotten. Thing refused to go further than the router connection and find the internet.

Well it was a problem we had no energy for since we were in the middle of clearing out our upstairs, main kitchen in prep for painting. After a 1/2 day of that Emile said that we were going to call it a day and go to the beach! Whee! I am so there!

Both of us had a great time bobbing around in the ocean and sunning for a couple hours, dropping all cares for a bit.

*Note, this is one of Emile's pipes. Didn't feel like a whole bowl, so just took a few puffs from his after a long swim. Sorry, no picts of him, he'd kill me. LOL!

Then it was to one of our fav outdoor seafood restaurants for a BIG fried fisherman's platter combo of fish, scallops, shrimp, whole-bellied clams, french fries, coleslaw, birch beer soda, all the right dipping sauces--the works. Yum! So big the two of us shared one and we still have plenty leftovers to take home. Great place, as we sat outside eating, watched all the laughing little kids take rides on the small carousel they have there next to the picnic area

Home and it was with heaving sigh we started the long, winding and fruitless calls to tech support. Man, did they give us the dance. Guy we spoke to kept saying it was our computer, our wireless card, our anti-virus programs, and basically after we told him that no, we were not going to give them a ton of money for A: giving us a piece of crap, which, now replaced with better model, required us to buy rights to talk to someone who could actually help us, since he couldn't.

Told us a bunch of things to suggest, and ended with, "Of course it is your call what you do or not. Good luck. Bye."

Uh-huh. Well, before I followed his 'ideas' and removed everything from our PC which made it secure I did a System Restore check point, and just for the hell of it, decided to restore the system to yesterday.

Poof! Everything worked just like that!

I beat tech support! Yeah, go me!

So I am ending the day with a big grin on a rather smug note, touch of tan and hair curly from the ocean and shower and in general, feeling rather relaxed.

P.S. Just got the email that my tobacco & cigar order placed this morning has already been shipped! Woo-hoo!

Yup, just knew when I woke up that today was going to be one of the Good ones.

Nighters, folks!

Melissa

Wow, Xavier Rudd is a really good drummer. :o He also has a good background music to go with. This is the first time I've heard of him. Cool.

Stay happy, too. :)

p.s. No idea what kind of cigar you're talking about but sounds like it's a good one.

LOL, Lee, I am? Well, there are a LOT of us out there, have our own forums and everything. ;)

Used to be a time when it was quite common, though it has only been recently that things have come back around for it to be considered 'acceptable' behavior, not that I give a damn about that. I like what I like, in fashion or no. :)

In fact, I am interested in finding out if there will be any women in the XII World Pipe Smoking Championship to be held in St. Petersburg Russia this year. I know of a couple who have entered smaller competitions and done very well.

Cheers,
Melissa

Well helluuuuuu there! Thanks so much for dropping by while I was away! You can read about our holidays, if you want, by visiting me at The Camper. We only got just over a week, because I was so sick for the first two weeks, but we packed a lot into that time. We're going to be going away for the Labor Day weekend (we leave tomorrow after lunch), too, just to finish up our holidays.

Whatever you're smokin' in that pipe, Melissa, keep smokin' it - I loved reading this entry!
