Tax water / wasps / Goody Order and more

IL - TAX BOTTLED WATER!

ROFLMAO at you guys right now!

Now, now, behave. No whining, because fair is fair, right? You want to tax tobacco out of existence with things like a 20 THOUSAND PERCENT (no shit, it is literally 20 THOUSAND PERCENT!!!) tax added to items like cigars as well as other La-La Land ideas so support the, ahem, 'children' (re: non-smokers, those whom are not able to purchase tobacco products. WTF? Someone use a dartboard to come up with that choice or what?) so now, my 'health nut' friends, it be your turn.

Personally, we receive home deliveries of water for our cooler, since the tap around here has so much crap in it, it can bring on attacks of my fibromialgia. Beyond that, no, do not buy the stuff bottled. Though considering that plastic can be recycled, (Hey, you hear that, Florida? Things like cans and plastic can be recycled? No, you haven't, you say? Well, no surprise there, I mean look at the 'Family' you got in power. Turkeys. *Shakes head wryly*) I would imagine the landfills have more problem with all these Brita(TM) filters or whatever it is used for such things. After all, our water cooler bottles are returned and used over and over again.

And yeah, the idea of 'natural springs' is mostly bogus, (The 'consumer' has to be given some sort of flashy carrot held before their eyes after all, so gullible, sheesh!) still, you live in a state where, if you fish for trout you can only eat ONE A MONTH due to mercury poisoning, well, guess where our tap water comes from? I am not alone when it comes to traveling outside the borders of Connecticut, people whom suffer from 'arthritis' and Fibromialgia have their symptoms lessoned noticeably.

Ah well.

Back to business on the home front. Little funny for you. Seems we got a really mean hornets den living inside the floor of our upper porch and no one can do and scraping with safety on a ladder. So last night (since one must wait till the little tikes are all sleeping together) Emile goes to spray the nest in the dark. He opens the can and gets set, goes to press the nozzle...and the dastard pops off! Gone, poof, just like that into the shrubbery of the alley far below.

Well, the wasps are safe for another day at least.

Beyond that, I treated myself last night with a little TAD attack. Did some shoping and here is what the goody list contains:

McC - Christmas Cheer 2007 (100g) = 3

G.L.P. - Barbary Coast 8oz Bulk = 1

Mac Baren - Golden Extra 100g (3.5 oz) = 1

G.L.P. - Westminster (2oz) = 1

Next, word is from Mars Cigars that my Drew Estate Acid (Purple) C-Notes will be back in stock sometimes this week. Man, I hope so. Miss those little darlings of flavor. And sure as hell $71.95 beats $115.00 any day!

Fingers also crossed, because there is a rumor that JR will finally be getting some HOW Field & Stream in. I’ve been out for months, which is terrible, since that is your perfect outdoor in the woods smoke, yet I would still rather pay $17.95 over $27.00 a tin, though if Mars gets it in first...well, we shall see.

Quick snap of my little writing world with a couple of buddies.

And that is all she wrote for the moment, people.

Cheers and catch you later,

Melissa

Heh heh...I couldn't agree you with more...my spirtual awakening began almost 5 years ago and I definitely had my own ideas of what my future should hold...boy, was I ever wrong...lol. Yes, I think that if you are led or directed down a spirtual path you have to be ready to contend with adversity but, damn, some of those lessons can be pretty painful. But I, also, would not trade them or the lessons I begin to learn for the fast easy way. We do have to be prepared for them. I work as a property manager and I'm on-call pretty much the hours that our main office is closed, including weekends, which is incredibly restricting in many ways, the pay sucks and no benefits and I get the "privilege" of dealing with irate tenants consistently. But I KNOW that I was guided here to learn specific lessons. In the last few months, I have also felt what you described about time to move on...one of the most important things for me during this time has been to re-learn how to relate to people again, after being in a 3 year vaccuum of hiding myself away and all the associated trauma...you've personal experience with pain on a regular basis so I know you can relate to this. Anyway, thanks for coming by and sharing...I really do appreciate that and as we both know, nothing in our life will ever be random again...hehe, almost sounds like an ancient curse...lol. Anyway, please do email me the links for the archived posts. I have a feeling that there may be some parallels to my own journey. Just a suggestion...there is a site called Infinite Being that has an outstanding weekly newsletter that highlights the energy that is prevalent in the coming week and how best to make use of it in business, social and personal areas of our life. Their main objective is teaching people how to contact their angel guides but the newsletter has been incredibly accurate, at least for me, including the big change coming close to fall equinox..it coincides very closely to a self-imposed goal for me. Anyway,
